Ryan Serhant Real Estate Firm Expands Nationwide

September 27, 2025

Ryan Serhant, best known as the star of Netflix’s real estate hit Owning Manhattan, is taking his fame beyond television and building a nationwide real estate powerhouse.

His firm, Serhant, already operates in New York, Boston, Washington, D.C., and several other cities, with Rhode Island set to become the 12th state next month. Serhant isn’t just relying on his celebrity—he’s transforming the company into a tech-driven platform powered by AI.

Back in December, the firm raised over $45 million in venture funding, fueling its rapid expansion and making it one of the most watched real estate companies in the U.S.

Rhode Island Expansion Already in Motion

Records from the Rhode Island corporation database show that Serhant officially set up shop in the state in mid-August. Momentum is already building: 24 realtors have joined the brokerage, according to MLS affiliation records.

The timing is notable. This week, news broke that Compass is acquiring Anywhere Real Estate, a New Jersey-based company that owns iconic brands like Century 21, Coldwell Banker, Corcoran, and Sotheby’s International Realty.

The deal is still under review, and questions remain: Will Compass merge all the brands under its own name, or let them compete independently? This uncertainty could shake up the market—and for companies like Serhant, it’s a chance to stand out.

Brokerage 3.0: A New Era

Serhant’s approach is clear: he’s not trying to build just another real estate brokerage. “The world didn’t need another real estate brokerage. It needed something different. Something more,” the company says.

The firm calls itself a “Brokerage 3.0,” designed to empower its agents rather than stifle them. “It’s a structure that harnesses technology, builds lasting connections, and makes no apologies for shaking up the old guard,” the company adds.

With offices in 11 states and Rhode Island joining soon, Serhant is betting that mixing tech, AI, and a fresh business model can disrupt the traditional real estate world—and maybe even redefine it entirely.
